The bigscreen is calling: Julie Delpy is attached to direct "The Right Profile," a biopic of the Clash frontman Joe Strummer that Simon Halfon ("Sleuth") is producing.

Don't be surprised if Delpy takes a role in the film as well, since the French thesp has appeared in all but one of the films she's directed, including 2007's "2 Days in Paris."

Details from "The Right Profile" are being kept under wraps, but the idea is to focus on Strummer's life and his planned disappearance from the public spotlight in 1982. Pic is titled after the song "The Right Profile," which appeared on the Clash's seminal 1979 album "London Calling."

stunning 21-CD box set to commemorate
40 years of Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

The set comprises 21 CDs, a 36-page booklet of the band's history written by Nigel Stanworth, a 32-page book of Manfred's own memories and anecdotes and a poster of the current band. The catalogue CDs have been remastered and repackaged in LP-style sleeves.

The albums have the original UK running order and refreshed sleeves.

RATIONAL ANTHEMS

As most of you know, the recording of Rational Anthems was put back during the year as Manfred spent a lot of time caring for his wife, who was seriously ill. Sadly Irene passed away a few weeks ago and Manfred will be returning to the Rational Anthems project in due course.
