Is This Volkswagen Super Bowl Ad Racist?
The Super Bowl ad that Volkswagen plans to run is being called RACIST, because it's about how driving a VW Beetle makes you so happy that you talk in a thick Jamaican accent. Volkswagen says it consulted 100 Jamaicans before releasing the ad, and used a speech coach to get the accent right. But the company has other ads to run in its place if this one causes too much controversy.
(Here's the ad.)
The Overwhelming Majority of Americans Would Skip the Super Bowl to Have Sex:
According to a new study by Durex, the overwhelming majority of Americans would SKIP watching the Super Bowl to HAVE SEX.
85% of men and 81% of women say they'd skip watching the Super Bowl for sex.
Yes, women are LESS likely. Which is either because women are less sex-driven than men . . . or they haven't figured out you can watch all the commercials online afterward.
Of course, this DOES mean that 15% of men and 19% of women choose watching a football game over sex, but that still checks in lower than we would've guessed.
If You Start Using a To-Do List, You'll Have Enough Extra Time to Watch 328 Movies or Eat 547 More Meals This Year:
According to a new study, the average person would save about 90 WASTED MINUTES every day if they organized themselves better, and used a to-do list to get through everything they needed to get done.
That adds up to 547.5 hours, or almost 23 EXTRA DAYS a year in time you'd save.
The authors of the study say with THAT much extra time, you could watch about 328 movies, eat 547 extra meals, or have sex at least 1,095 times. But you won't.
The researchers asked people what they'd do with extra time, and the top answer was housework and chores. The rest of the top five are shopping and errands, cooking, managing your social calendar, and helping kids with homework.

A Charity Is Sending 21,000 Pizzas to Soldiers in Afghanistan and Kuwait For the Super Bowl:
A charity called Pizza 4 Patriots is making sure that our troops overseas will have some party food when they watch the Super Bowl.
They're teaming up with the delivery company DHL to send 21,000 pizzas to U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan and Kuwait, in time for this Sunday's game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
That's enough pizza to feed EVERY American soldier serving in those two countries.
A company called Great Kitchens is making the ready-to-bake Chicago deep-dish pizzas. Pizza 4 Patriots has done this each of the last four years . . . and they've sent 122,000 pizzas over that time.
The pizzas left Chicago on Tuesday morning.
