You're Going to Get the Flu Because You're Not Washing Your Hands for Long Enough:
The CDC says this could be the WORST flu season EVER. So if you don't wash your hands well enough, you're probably going to get it.
And a new survey found that 75% of adults don't wash their hands for long enough. You should scrub them for at least TWENTY SECONDS.
Most people wash for five to 15 seconds . . . or in some cases, zero seconds.
The survey also found only 70% of people say they ALWAYS wash their hands after they use a public bathroom. 29% say they do it sometimes . . . and 1% say they NEVER wash their hands after they use a public restroom.
A 400-Pound Woman Was Hospitalized After She Fell Through the Sidewalk in New York . . . and Says Her Delicious Girth Saved Her Life!
On Friday, 32-year-old Ulanda Williams from Queens, New York . . . who clocks in at a mouth-watering 400 pounds . . . was in Manhattan, waiting for a bus, and huddling against a wall to shelter herself from the rain. And suddenly, the sidewalk GAVE OUT.
Turns out she was standing on a piece of sidewalk that was built over a restaurant's basement. The basement didn't have a ceiling in that area, just the sidewalk tile. So when it cracked, she fell seven feet STRAIGHT DOWN into the basement.
The fire department had to use a CRANE and a CARGO NET to get her out. A fire department official told reporters, quote, "She is a very large person, but we were able to secure her and stabilize her and lift her out of the hole."
Fortunately, Ulanda only suffered a broken arm. And she says her girth SAVED HER LIFE. Doctors told her a thinner woman could've DIED in that fall.
A Social Security Administration Employee Was Reprimanded For Having Bad Gas . . . But Now His Record Has Been Cleared:
Last month, a 38-year-old employee at a Social Security Administration office in Baltimore, Maryland got an OFFICIAL REPRIMAND added to his file, for creating a, quote, "intolerable and hostile" work environment.
And how was he creating that environment? Through his HORRIBLE, NOXIOUS FLATULENCE.
That's right: This guy was producing gas SO BAD, it was HOSTILE to his coworkers.
Well . . . after the story came out around Christmas, some of the senior managers at the SSA heard about it. And they felt that no matter HOW bad the gas was, it wasn't enough cause to say this guy was creating a hostile work environment.
So the official reprimand has been rescinded.
