It goes without saying that the more drunk you are, the more likely you are to injure yourself. But did you know that the more drunk you are, the better your chances are of surviving the injury?

It's true, according to a new study conducted by researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago. They studied hospital records of almost 200,000 patients that were treated at trauma centers over a 25-year span and found that the death rates of traumatic injury decreased as the blood-alcohol content of patients rose.
