We live in the golden age of breakfast sandwiches.
Back in the dark ages, all you could get was an Egg McMuffin.
These days, you can get sausage, ham, bacon, egg and cheese on muffins, biscuits, croissants and tortillas.
Unfortunately, a new study has shown that all this greasy goodness does terrible things to your body.
Researchers found that starting your day with a breakfast sandwich means your blood vessels will start clogging before lunch.
The effect was so fast, the scientists actually called the food "a time bomb in a bun." (Toronto Sun)
Pot Legalization in U.S. Could Hurt Mexican Cartels
Washington, Oregon and Colorado will be voting on pot legalization on Tuesday.
And, if it’s legalized, researchers say it could hurt Mexican cartels.
A Mexican think tank says demand for Mexican pot would decline, cutting into cartels' profits by 22 percent to 30 percent.
Considering how much trouble these cartels cause – both in Mexico and here in the U.S. – lots of law enforcement officials will be watching the elections in Washington, Oregon and Colorado very closely. (Los Angeles Times)
NEW GOGGLES LET YOU READ EMAILS WHILE SKIING
Eyewear company Oakley has developed a pair of goggles that lets you read emails while skiing.
No joke.
The Oakley Airwave has a fighter pilot-style screen on the inside of the lens, displaying your speed, location, altitude and distance travelled.
They can also connect to a smartphone that transmits incoming calls to an earpiece.
And, most amazingly (or sad) text messages or emails can be beamed straight onto the screen in front of your eyes. (Daily Mail)
