Born and raised in NYC...Brooklyn. "Whuh? Yis got a PROBLEM wid dat?!" Built my first radio station in high school by staging hundreds of bake sales to raise money to buy equipment.
Went to NYU - got my first job WHILE I was at NYU Film School - "Cousin Ken" on "XL Country" in New Jersey at the ripe old age of 19.
Been on the air ever since. Acting and writing career continued: Small parts in various movies and TV shows - but got a few featured parts, like last year's season opener on "Law And Order, C.I."
I've also written and starred in a couple of those low-budget T&A movies, like "The Naked Detective." - don't worry gang - I keep my clothes ON! I'm the comic relief!
Was on the Golf Channel's "Total Golf Makeover" a couple of season's ago in Orlando...I'm now a 12 handicap, thanks to Moe Norman's Natural Golf method!
Married, with a family - that would be my dog, Brak, a Border Collie/Bernese Mountain Dog mix, and our cat, Baldrick, who rules the world (the world just doesn't realize it yet).
Favorite Concert? Seeing "The Wall," Roger Water's epic, live in Berlin, after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Simply one of the greatest events I have ever been part of in my life...
Looking forward to lots of golf during the day, and rock and roll all night at BIG 1059!
he left a guitar pic for the Big E "In case he feels like playing," said Paul. I remember reading the first time the Beatles met Elvis, they were SO starstruck, they couldn't talk. Elvis said: "Well, if y'all gonna just stand there and stare at me, I'm going to bed!"
Jon Bon Jovi took a swipe at pop star Justin Bieber, citing his unprofessional attitude, and calling him a (blank)-hole." Bon Jovi spoke about the 19-year-old Bieber's penchant for showing up late to his concerts -- including a London show in March, which saw Bieber stroll in two hours late. Bon Jovi told The London Evening Standard, "Every generation has guys that do that. None of that is new. They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives -- or in that kid's case, 80 minutes of their lives."
He gave some word of advice for the latest pop sensation, who later blamed his tardiness on technical difficulties: "Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won't have you back. Then it just becomes a cliche. It's really not cool -- you're an ***hole. Go to ****ing work!"
For MY 2-cents: Jon is spot on. Bieber's a punk, trying to have the swagger of a hardcore street thug -- seemingly COMPLETELY UNAWARE that his fan-base is comprised of Tiger Beat middle class suburban tweens. My blind grandmother with the lousy knee could waste this chump.
He should take a lesson from all the other teen idols of the past and work hard to keep a fan-base -- David Cassidy, New Kids On The Block, and New Edition do AMAZING business today because of treating their fans right. This guy's not gonna be so adorable when he's 38 and broke. He's gonna be Vanilla Ice -- with less money.
3 lead guitarists in 50 years...and many folks (me, included) feel Mick was the best - driving those early 70's classics... check out his solo at the end of "Sway" from Sticky Fingers during their last night in L.A!
Sad loss for rock down here with the passing of Doors keyboard man Ray Manzarek - but there isn't a doubt in my mind that he and Jim are now getting into trouble writing new songs together!
Here is "Light My Fire" from The Hollywood Bowl - a rock video directed by Ray...
At least the sets are still there - in the Moroccan desert!
So, hundreds of years from now, when archaeologists stumble across this stuff, I wonder what crazy stories they'll come-up with to explain it. Which ALSO makes me re-think "Stonehenge." Maybe it's not the ancient holy Druid hookie-dookie everybody thinks it was. Maybe, if we could go back in time and ask a Druid what's the deal with the big rocks, he would honestly say: "Ahh, we were just screwin' around. Why? They're not still there, are they? Jeez. Sorry!"
an amazing mash-up....IMAGINE!
