According to a dating website, Irish men are the “undisputed ugliest” people in the world. Ouch.
The Los Angeles-based beautifulpeople.com is an online dating website where, if you are not rated beautiful enough by the current members, then you are not allowed to join it. Irish men had their worst ever results in their annual 'beauty charts', which looks at how many people get approved to join their five million members.
Just 6% of Irish lads who applied to land their profiles on beautifulpeople.com were successful – less than any other country.
On average, about 20% of applicants are successful in joining... which makes the Irish men's rate of 6% pretty dismal in comparison.
A spokesperson for the website said: “There are many examples of handsome Irish men such as Cillian Murphy, Colin Farrell and Jamie Dornan. But this is the exception and not the norm.”
People in the United States are solidly in the middle looks wise, with American women ranking 8th with a 32& acceptance rate and American men ranking 9th with a 24% acceptance rate.
