Bayfront Park turns into a sea of pink as thousands of people flood into downtown Miami for the 18th annual Susan G. Komen Miami/Fort Lauderdale Race for the Cure.
More than 20,000 people took part---thousands more just showed up to watch
The Miami/Fort Lauderdale Komen chpater has raised more than $12 million for breast cancer treatment and research since 1996
The fight against breast cancer takes to the streets, Saturday October 19th for the 18th annual Susan G Komen "Race for The Cure" in downtown Miami.
Over the years the race has raised more than $13 million dollars for breast cancer research, treatment and education. Last year the Komen Foundation dispersed over $1.3 million to 36 different agencies in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties.
