The Miami Dolphins present new general manager Dennis Hickey to the media.
During a 4pm news conference Tuesday, Owner Stephen Ross spoke on what he was looking for during GM search, saying"We needed to have harmony in the organization."
Hickey will oversee the 53-man roster, saying "The structure was completely clear. That was a draw to me, to work with talented people."
Hickey comes to South Florida from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he worked for 18 years. He was the Bucs' director of player personnel since 2011.
Hickey is anything but a slam dunk hire, as several of the Dolphins' preferred candidates, such as New England's Nick Caserio and Tennessee's Lake Dawson, turned down the job.
