Coast Guard Cutter Eagle To Arrive In South Florida

The Coast Guard tall ship Eagle is coming to Miami Saturday morning.

The nearly 300-foot long three-masted sailing ship will dock at Miami's Museum Park Pier and will be open for free public tours. 

Tour hours are 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and1:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Sunday (Father's Day) and Monday.

Many of the 150 cadets will be attending Monday's Miami Marlins game for Military Appreciation Day.

The Eagle, which is classified as a barque, was built in Germany in the 1930s and taken as a war prize at the conclusion of World War 2.
